From a recording straight to text in the language you need

Upload a lecture, interview or voice memo, pick the output language: SonikaAI recognises the speech and translates it at once. No translation needed? Get the transcript in the original.

Recognition and translation in one run

SonikaAI recognises the speech and can translate it straight away if you want, leaving you with finished text to work on: pick out what matters, add to it and edit it.

The sound wave of a voice recording turns into transcribed and translated text

You already have the recording. Get to work on what is in it

After a lecture

Re-read the explanation that lost you and add what you need to your notes.

After an interview

Work with the answers as text: pick your quotes and get the material ready to edit.

After recording your own ideas

Turn voice memos into the basis of an email, an article or a plan.

How it works

  1. 1

    Upload the audio file

Set the language of the recording.

  2. 2

    Choose the output language

The same one for a transcript, a different one for a translation.

  3. 3

    Start processing

The finished text will be waiting in your account.

Upload straight from your phone or recorder

MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC and OGG are supported, along with the DSS and DS2 formats used by dictation recorders. If your recording is in one of these, upload it as it is — no converting it in another program first.

What affects the transcript

The clearer the voice and the quieter the background, the more accurate the result. Where several people talk over each other, someone speaks too quietly, or the recording is full of names and specialist terms, those passages are worth a closer look: check important names, numbers and quotes against the original. Only upload recordings you have the right to process. How SonikaAI handles your data and which third-party services are involved is set out in the privacy policy.

Turn the recording into text you can actually use

Come back to your recording in writing — in its original language, or translated.
