Our Story
A Few Words About Me
My name is Mykola Orelenko. I'm building SonikaAI as a solo developer and use it myself in my day-to-day work. I live and work in Germany.

How It All Started
At some point, I needed to find a few books for learning. They were available in English, but I had to either read them quickly or listen to them. Doing this in the original language was difficult and took far more time than I had.
A few years ago, this kind of task felt almost impossible. Good translation and natural-sounding voice-overs were either very expensive or hard to use. In many cases, the result was a robotic voice that was difficult to listen to for more than a few minutes.
When the Idea of SonikaAI Took Shape
As modern AI models became available, things began to change. Translations improved, and voices started to sound more natural. At the same time, a new problem emerged: to actually use these tools, you had to rely on several different services and deal with their interfaces, formats, and limitations.
My wife works in the public sector and regularly needs to translate documents, materials, and everyday communication. Watching her work, I realized that translation challenges are not limited to education โ they appear in many other fields as well. This made it clear to me that SonikaAI can be useful in real, everyday situations.
That's when the idea of SonikaAI took shape โ a single platform that brings translation, voice-over, and document processing together in one place, without the need to deal with technical details or the specifics of each service.
Who I'm Building SonikaAI For
SonikaAI is built for people who want to read and listen to content in a language that feels natural to them, quickly translate documents, and create audio versions without unnecessary complexity.
It's a tool I use myself and continue to develop step by step, focusing on real needs โ students, teachers, readers, public sector workers, and anyone who works with multilingual content.
